Collage art Classes

I have been running classes for the last 18 years in a variety of settings; village halls in rural communities, schools and colleges, private tuition, galleries and festivals to give a few examples. The classes provide an opportunity for people to explore their creativity; collage as a medium is a wonderful way to work; an instant palette with no daunting ‘blank canvas’ and creating collage seems to tap into the imagination straight away. Especially for those who feel they don’t have a creative bone in their body or are seeking other ways to reignite their creative spark again. One of the things I notice and love about running these sessions is how collage brings conversation and humour to the class; everybody has a story to tell whilst simultaneously creating works of art without really noticing - this is where the magic happens!
